About The Position
Material Handler/Expeditor is expected to work closely with teammates to coordinate support of material movement throughout campus and communicate with internal customers and stakeholders. At RTX, safety is the foundation of our Logistics operations. Must have a strong focus on safety and adherence to safety protocols. As such, the material handler/ expeditor must remain in strict compliance with department and company safety requirements. This is an onsite position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED).
- Must have valid Driver’s license to drive around site
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Valid and active PIT (Power Industrial Truck) License
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to push or pull up to 40lbs
Responsibilities
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, dollies, carts and other manual/electric lift equipment
- Utilize scanners and other handheld scanning devices
- Utilize company computer to take company offered online training
- Navigate online material movement systems to monitor work queues and receive work directions
- Communicate with customers and internal teammates including logistics dispatcher via phone and/or email
- Receive and transport United States Postal Service (USPS) mail in support of on-site Raytheon personnel and programs.
