About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $23.40 per hour. The hours for this shift are 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
Maintain 5S and housekeeping in work area
Maintain health and safety equipment in good working order
Know and follow established job specific and facility wide health and safety procedures and rules

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to obtain forklift certification and previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to use computer systems for the input and tracking of materials.

Responsibilities

Use a forklift or power equipment to move and store a variety of materials, parts, and products.
Transport items from incoming staging area or from finished goods staging area to a storage area and/or shipping area.
Operate an overhead crane or hoist to assist in moving of material.
Complete related documentation associated with shipping and receiving material.
Move or expedite material to the proper department.
Act as backup to other material handlers as needed in different sections.
Visually inspect for damaged material.
Keep areas neat and orderly using 5S guidelines.
Safely and efficiently deliver materials as needed to storeroom locations, or POU locations.
Notify internal customers of receipts / product marked to their attention.
Maintain working relationship with internal customers.
Receive P.O’s in system.
Separate AML material from non-AML. (Kanban)
Sort and disperse return material.
Maintain all documentation accordingly.
Unload trucks and check freight bills accordingly.
Verify material against packing list.
Perform duties of internal truck driver, making pick ups and deliveries in a timely fashion.
Assist with delivery / receipt of product to outside vendors and / or contractors.
Maintain stock levels.
Coordinate movement of material.
Locate material when required by other material handlers, internal customers or Supervisors.
Work with planners and buyers to make them aware of problems.
Assist with annual inventory.
Process internal Kanban cards.
Assist in the maintenance of the Kanban system.
Package finished product in preparation for shipping.
