About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for transporting and unloading materials promptly while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The role uses hand and/or rider pallet jacks to move product and materials through multiple departments, including Flat-Pack, debone, pack-out, shipping, receiving, coolers, and freezer areas. The position involves a fast-paced work environment, multitasking, and constant walking throughout the facility. The handler keeps production lines and the pack-out department stocked with necessary supplies and product, completes pallet-jack safety checks and inspection forms, and returns equipment and supplies to assigned areas. The role also requires turning in paperwork and forms to designated personnel, completing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, and communicating effectively across management levels.

Requirements

Have at least 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Be willing to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
Demonstrate proficiency in reading and writing and the ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate effectively across management levels.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural, or production experience.

Responsibilities

Transport and unload materials in a timely manner using a hand and/or rider pallet jack.

Keep production lines and the pack-out department stocked with necessary supplies and product.
Complete safety checks and pallet-jack inspection forms.
Return equipment and supplies to assigned areas and submit paperwork and forms to specified personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate effectively across management levels.
