About The Position
The Material Handler is a key part of Multi-Power's current Inventory team and is responsible for receiving, maintaining inventory levels and allocation of goods. This position is for a candidate who is detail oriented and able to work independently.
Requirements
- Good communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- High School graduate, Grade 12
- Current driver’s license
- Physically fit (routinely required to lift items up to 25 kilograms)
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading daily shipping trucks as requested
- Following purchase order instructions to relocate received goods to allocated staging area or inventory locations
- Convey inventory stock level differences of items being restocked to inventory control personnel
- General cleanup of warehouses
- General warehouse organisation daily
- Construction and/or assembly of crates and containers
- Physical inventory counts as directed by inventory control personnel
- Local parts pick-ups
- Coordinating with multiple departments to move and stage manufactured parts
- Assist inventory control personnel when requested with general warehouse duties: order picking and packing, assembling pallet racking and shelving, etc.
