About The Position

This is an urgent need for a Material Handler in Covington, GA, for a 12-month contract duration. The role operates on the 1st shift, from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime until 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday and some Saturdays. The position is with a Medical Device Company and is categorized as Entry Level within the Industrial job category. The pay range is $16-$20/hr. The job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, though most lifting involves 5-15 lbs. Responsibilities include dumping product onto the line for kitting, packing kitted product, taping boxes, placing boxes on pallets, moving product with a pallet jack, cutting open boxes, removing inserts, and completing status placards. The work environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter with limited heating, and the noise level is moderate to loud.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift to 50lbs (very rarely) although most lifting is around only about 5 - 15 pounds
• 1 year warehouse experience in a production environment
• High school diploma/GED is required
• US Citizens or GC Holders Only

Responsibilities

• Dump product on the line to be kitted
• Pack kitted product back in the box, tape box, place box on pallet in correct configuration
• Move product from staging area to line with a pallet jack
• Move pallets forward on the line with pallet jack
• Move completed pallets to shrink wrap area with pallet jack
• Cutting open boxes and remove inserts
• Complete status placards for kitted pallets
