About The Position

This is a contract position for a Material Handler at a Medical Device Company in San Jose, CA. The role involves processing customer orders, picking and packing, using RF technology, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to Good Documentation Practices. Responsibilities also include pallet building, re-palletizing products for shipment, and potentially dock manifest duties. The position requires following all safety instructions, adhering to attendance policies, and completing necessary training modules. Quality, safety, security, sanitation, and housekeeping are emphasized. Cross-training in other warehouse positions is also expected.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience required.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects.
Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
May be required to operate MHE and use Voice/RF scanner.
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
General distribution knowledge.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without accommodation.

Experience with Walkie Ryder (motorized Pallet Jack) preferred.

Responsibilities

Pallet/Case Picking
Processing customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking and labeling boxes.
Pick and pack orders.
Processing orders through RF technology.
Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in SOP and work instructions.
Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
Complete all necessary RF device training to obtain the necessary profiles
Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.
Re-palletizing products for shipment.
May be responsible for dock manifest duties which includes scanning completed pallets and running the shrink wrapper.
May be required to transport pallets by walking MHE.
Responsible for accuracy verification and shipment packaging.
Must follow all safety instructions to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Must adhere to attendance policies.
Required to maintain current status in C2C training modules.
Understand organizational quality goals.
