About The Position

This is a 3-month contract assignment for a Material Handler in Woburn, MA, with the potential to convert to full-time employment, though conversion is not guaranteed. The role involves using various equipment to move materials within a warehouse setting. The position requires developing skills in basic tasks and adhering to quality guidelines under general to limited supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Requirements

Prior Forklift and Pallet Jack experience/certification highly preferred
Prior experience with ERP systems (SAP, JDE, etc.), highly preferred
Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.
Mainly manual labor - unloading trucks and stacking pallets - under 25 lbs (some weigh less than 5 lbs)
Must be able to verify labels on boxes and matching to pallets. Attention to detail is essential!
Scanning experience is needed as well
Stand up forklift experience needed
Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed.
Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
General computer skills.

Responsibilities

Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.
May maintain records.
Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
Unloading trucks and stacking pallets.
Verifying labels on boxes and matching to pallets.
Scanning experience is needed.
