About The Position

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join our TEAM! As a material handler we need someone that is experienced in stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading and unloading materials. Shift Schedule: 7AM - 7PM (2-2-3 Schedule) Primary Objective: Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area. Major Function and Scope: Operates forklift and/or crane equipment. Keys orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS). Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy. Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area. Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor. Follows standard operating procedures. Mains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlines in the Safety Accountability Policy and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to management. Keeps area safe, clean and organized. Operates wireless devices (tablet, scanners) and automated equipment. Conducts daily cycle counts. Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material. Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator
  • 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience
  • Minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience
  • Ability to understand and speak basic English
  • Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks

  • No experience required for pallet jack
