About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting organizational goals by coordinating the movement of materials throughout a warehouse or facility. This includes delivering materials to machine centers, staging, stocking, organizing, and processing inbound and outbound materials. The role works closely with machine centers, trucking, customer service, and production management; duties may also include shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks. The position requires safe equipment operation, accurate material tracking and documentation, and maintaining organized and clean work areas. The employee works with minimum supervision and handles moderately complex issues.

Requirements

• Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily and comply with health, safety, and housekeeping regulations.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide units of measure.
• Solid working knowledge of warehouse processes and related manufacturing.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), email, and calendar capabilities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and protect confidential or sensitive information.
• Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach, sound judgment and decision-making, and ability to identify problems and needs and develop solutions or options.

• Prior equipment, shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate warehouse equipment as needed, including motorized forklifts with clamp, fork, or probe attachments.
• Receive and maintain equipment certification when applicable.
• Read and follow instructions.
• Move material within the facility to keep machine centers stocked and to load and unload deliveries according to protocol.
• Maintain warehouse and surrounding areas in accordance with housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
• Verify and track all material moved, including quantity, size, and packaging.
• Complete necessary documents for internal or external use.
• Work with minimum supervision and handle moderately complex issues and problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
