About The Position
The Material Handler (Picking/Kitting) supports electronics manufacturing by ensuring production staff have the parts and supplies needed to run production jobs. The role involves receiving, organizing, storing, picking, delivering, and shipping materials and products while maintaining accurate inventory records and a clean, efficient storage area. The position is for a weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of material handling, warehouse, or related experience.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials, inspect them for damage, and verify accuracy against packing lists.
- Organize and store materials in their correct locations.
- Pull and deliver materials to production and staging areas on time.
- Prepare, package, and ship finished products according to instructions.
- Maintain accurate inventory by updating transactions in the system.
- Handle, label, and store materials properly to prevent damage.
- Keep the storage area clean, organized, and optimized for efficiency.
- Follow FIFO (first in, first out) inventory practices.
- Support quality inspections and report discrepancies.
- Assist with documentation and daily data entry.
