About The Position

The Material Handler maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, and staging finished product for shipping. The role also performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

No minimum education requirements.
The physical demands include regularly sitting; using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; frequently standing, walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, talking or hearing, and tasting or smelling.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock and recording inventory locations.
Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying items listed on production orders.
Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
Document the disposition of materials and supplies by recording delivered units and their locations.
Receive returned materials and supplies from production by verifying codes, lot numbers, and quantities, then placing them in stock.
Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Document product shipments by recording units shipped.
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
Contribute to the team effort by completing related tasks as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
