About The Position

Hilco Vision, a global eye care company, is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join their state-of-the-art facility in Fairfield, Ohio. The Material Handler will be responsible for conducting put-aways, transferring shipments to their designated areas, and overall material replenishment for the department. The role involves preparing and delivering raw materials, replenishing production lines, performing quality assurance on finished goods, labeling boxes, tracking job runs, and organizing inventory. The position requires a team player with a strong focus on safety, quality, and a continuous improvement mindset. The hours for this role are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with weekly pay.

You are capable of lifting boxes that weigh up to 40lbs
You are a Certified Forklift Operator, or you are extremely confident that you’ll learn to be one quickly and you have previously used a cherry picker and reach truck.

Responsibilities

Preparing and delivering raw materials via forklift, pallet jack, or cart for efficient line operations, perform line clearance and set-up for changeovers
Replenish production lines with raw materials, and track related inventory using our inventory control system
Perform QA on finished goods, wrap pallets properly using automated pallet wrap, receive them into inventory using our inventory control system, and move to proper locations
Labeling boxes accurately and neatly, according to the customer specifications
Track progress of job runs to avoid over-runs, and to ensure new jobs are prepared for efficient changeovers
Organize raw material inventory based on the job specifications and quantity
Properly account for, and return unused raw materials to inventory
Capable of performing all tasks required of a Packaging Operator when deemed necessary by your supervisor
Other duties as assigned
Responsible for inputting/updating label information in database.
Perform weekly inventory counts on all labels and update ERP system (M3), as necessary.
Print product box labels for all departments within manufacturing.
Work independently, this role requires about 90% independent work without direct supervision.
Process and print all custom label orders on a daily basis.
