About The Position

As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in keeping warehouse and production operations running efficiently. You will ensure materials and products are accurately received, stored, moved, and distributed while maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

Requirements

Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials in a warehouse environment.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong attention to safety and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions, numbers, and documents.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment that includes moving equipment, noise, temperature changes, and exposure to warehouse conditions.
Willingness to work mandatory overtime when required.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience.
Previous forklift or powered industrial truck operating experience.
Experience using SAP or a similar Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Inventory control or cycle counting experience.
Experience loading and unloading trailers in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine materials to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Transport materials and products between receiving, storage, and production areas.
Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established procedures.
Fill requisitions, work orders, and stock requests and distribute materials to production areas.
Assemble customer orders and prepare shipments on pallets.
Mark and identify materials and products accurately.
Open bales, crates, containers, and other packaging materials.
Record quantities of materials and products received and distributed.
Weigh and count items to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company standards.
Operate manual and automated material handling equipment, including forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products from trailers.
Transport and relocate stored materials throughout the warehouse.
Use computer systems to enter records and maintain inventory information.
Take photos of incoming and outgoing loads and document shipments as required.
Participate in cycle counts and inventory activities as assigned.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep aisles and exits clear of obstructions.
Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and personal protective equipment requirements.
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and workplace injuries promptly.
Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, including 5S (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
Work overtime as required and perform other duties as assigned.
Where applicable, climb material tanks, access tank trailers, inspect seals, and collect samples.
