About The Position

Responsible for storing and issuing merchandise. This role involves placing incoming merchandise in the proper location, inspecting outgoing merchandise for accuracy and quality, and issuing the correct amount of merchandise ordered on requisitions. The Material Handler will also advise the lead clerk of out-of-stock items and quantity discrepancies, deliver merchandise to requesting departments, and return pallets and milk crafts to the warehouse. Additionally, the role requires offloading merchandise from service elevators, returning warehouse equipment to its proper location, and reporting any safety or OSHA violations to the Lead Warehouse Clerk/Supervisor. Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment and exemplifying the company's core values, DEI culture, mission, and vision are also key aspects of this position. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic math
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees and staff
• General knowledge of warehouse procedures
• Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Requires coordination, the ability to follow instructions, memorization, independent judgment and decision-making skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
