About The Position

This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position. The Evening Shift runs from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with telehandler forklift in a construction environment.
  • Ability to warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts.
  • Physically capable of performing the job's essential duties and lifting up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to understand written and oral job instructions.
  • Ability to follow all safety standards and policies.
  • Ability to multitask and assist the production team when required.
  • Must be able to read a measuring tape.
  • Able to work independently and in teams.
  • All types of physical movement are required for this position to successfully perform the essential functions.
  • Ability to use upper and lower extremities.
  • Ability to work outside in heat, inclement weather, and cold.
  • Ability to crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend around and under equipment, on ladders up to 24' at heights up to 70', stairs, scaffolds, through small accesses, enter inside of tanks, and confined spaces, through hatches, and manholes throughout much of the work shift.
  • Able to work over bodies of water.
  • Normal level of visual acuity needed.
  • Must be able to understand and follow directions.
  • Normal hearing level needed.
  • Hand-eye coordination required.

Responsibilities

  • Move, stack, load, and unload products and materials effectively and efficiently.
  • Lift, stack and un-stack products and materials, such as 10’x40’ plates and 40’ angles/tubes.
  • Move raw materials and finished goods to processing or dispatch areas of the facility.
  • Ensure goods are stored in the correct area of the plant and/or warehouse for easy location.
  • Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring loads are evenly and securely placed per bill of lading.
  • Make minor adjustments to the forklift.
  • Complete daily Pre-Op Inspection Sheet.
  • Pull product and stage orders.
  • Follow all guidelines as set forth in the forklift driver’s manual and policy.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Work safely and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of structural shapes and sites.
  • Perform all other duties as required.
