About The Position

The Material Handler operates material handling equipment and packaging tools, including machines and hand tools, and uses RF devices to track materials accurately. The role also includes other related duties as assigned. Work is primarily conducted in an industrial environment that may involve noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Adherence to strict safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE) are essential.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse and forklift/side loader experience.
• Good mathematical competencies.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure to the sixteenth; experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, health, and safety.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment, including a crane and forklift; must pass an evaluation before working independently.
• Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to climb into and out of a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• High school education or GED.
• Experience using computers.
• Experience with cutting and banding equipment.
