About The Position

The Material Handler operates material-handling equipment and packaging tools, uses RF devices to track materials accurately, and performs other related duties as assigned. The role is primarily conducted in an industrial environment that may involve noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Employees must follow strict safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High school education or GED desired.
• Good mathematical competencies.
• Attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to read a tape measure to the sixteenth.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, health, and safety.
• Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull.
• Ability to climb into and out of side loaders and fork trucks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) occasionally and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3 kg).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Previous experience operating a fork lift, side loader, or overhead crane; must pass an evaluation before working independently.
• Experience using computers.
• Experience with cutting and banding equipment.
