About The Position

This role involves receiving product from retail stores, donation sites, and donors, and then sorting it into processing, recycling, and storage categories. The Material Handler will operate a forklift to load and unload materials and trucks. Depending on the location, they may also operate a baler. Daily tasks include completing cleaning as needed, conducting and documenting safety inspections, and providing customer service using the Greet, Offer, Thank and Ask Back protocol.

Requirements

  • Can meet physical requirements to move 50 pound objects routinely
  • Have experience operating a forklift
  • Are comfortable working in a warehouse environment where you will get dirty and be exposed to dust
  • Are comfortable being expected to meet speed and accuracy work goals
  • Are available to work weekends and evenings
  • Work well on independent tasks
  • Have a proven record of being dependable
  • Are friendly

Responsibilities

  • Receive product from retail stores, donation sites, and donors
  • Sort product into processing, recycling and storage categories
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload materials
  • Unload and load trucks
  • Operate a baler (not all locations)
  • Complete cleaning tasks as needed
  • Regularly conduct and document safety inspections
  • Provide customers service using Greet, Offer, Thank and Ask Back protocol
