About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for the accurate physical receiving of materials and products to maintain the integrity of inventory control and ensure the delivery of materials/products to the proper department. This role involves receiving product deliveries, verifying purchase orders, checking quantities and quality of goods, inspecting and handling inbound shipments, communicating with buyers for returns/repairs, inputting received material into the computer system, and delivering products to internal personnel. The Material Handler also assists in other departments as needed, performs cycle counts, and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues and management. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with all department procedures, federal and state regulations, and upholding job-related confidentiality and adherence to organizational policies.

  • Ability to always conducts himself/herself in a professional manner
  • Computer literate
  • English is a must to be able to communicate with Account Managers
  • Warehouse experience is required

Responsibilities

  • Accurate physical receiving of materials/products to maintain the integrity of inventory control and ensures delivery of materials/products to the proper department.
  • Receives product deliveries
  • Ensures purchase order number is on all paperwork
  • Records and checks the quantity and quality of good received
  • Inspect, accept, or reject inbound shipments
  • Communicates and coordinates with the appropriate buyer for product returns/repair
  • Properly inputs received material into the computer system
  • Delivers product to appropriate internal personnel
  • Assists in other departments as needed
  • Perform cycle counts regularly
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, supervisors, and managers
  • Maintains safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state regulations
  • Maintains job-related confidentiality
  • Understands and adheres to organizational and department policy and procedures
