About The Position

The Material Handler distributes production and non-production items and materials to locations throughout the warehouse. Materials may include purchased parts, in-process parts, and finished goods. The role follows shipping and packing procedures, checks shipments and documents for accuracy, and inspects, weighs, and packages products. It is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is scheduled for the first shift, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts as needed. The starting pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in material handling is preferred.
Knowledge of inventory processes.
Ability to follow through on commitments and details.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work as a team player.
Ability to work and make decisions independently.
Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with coworkers, understand and follow posted work rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.

Follow company packing procedures and standards.
Review shipments for quality and accuracy and check accompanying documents for accuracy.
Confirm shipping details and special instructions.
Collect and properly dispose of cardboard and strapping.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work at different stations as needed.
Inspect, weigh, and package products.
Seal boxes and place labels on packages.
Place items in containers such as boxes and bags.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
