About The Position

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location! New employees can earn $67K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses. There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives. Position is full-time with benefits!

Requirements

Six months of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel industry a plus.
Ability to pass internal test to obtain valid crane operator certification.
Ability to read and understand order requisition or design paperwork and read a measuring tape.
Must possess basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, applying common sense and understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions required.

Preferably in the steel industry a plus.

Responsibilities

Safely operate overhead cranes and other heavy equipment to move materials and finished products.
Unload raw materials such as steel bundles and coils from delivery trucks or storage and prepare them for use in manufacturing.
Move finished goods, including steel joists, grinders, and other structural pieces, from the production area to staging or shipping areas.
Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring the correct materials are available for production.
Adhere to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
