Material Handler - Packaging

About The Position

Vertiv is seeking a reliable, safety-focused Packaging Material Handler to support manufacturing operations. The role uses forklifts and other equipment to move, store, and distribute materials and products throughout the facility, ensuring production materials are available when needed. Work takes place in a warehouse or manufacturing setting where safety equipment is required. The facility is not climate-controlled and has fans but no air-conditioning.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency.
Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Basic computer or scanner knowledge for inventory tracking.
Ability to follow procedures accurately.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
Commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Transport materials and components to and from workstations, storage areas, and loading docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
Track material movement using scanners or inventory management systems, and report discrepancies or shortages.
Assist with receiving incoming shipments, checking their accuracy, and stocking materials in designated locations.
Prepare materials or kits for production based on work orders or pick lists.
Safely load and unload trucks and containers as needed.
Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area.
Communicate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to support accurate and timely material flow.
Track outbound shipments from preparation through shipment.
Pack shipments according to provided work instructions.
