About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role involves operating various equipment to transport materials, packing and labeling items, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining inventory records. The position requires a strong understanding of safety procedures and the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations in English.
• Must have enough basic education to understand and follow standard practices and instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work alone without constant supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moves material to and from various locations using various equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or Forklifts.
• Pack labels and palletize materials as necessary.
• Loads and unloads materials from common carriers, verifies shipping / receiving information.
• Records inventories as required.
• May dispense contract work to individual work sites.
• Performs other activities as requested.
