About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials. This role involves operating equipment like hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to move materials, as well as packing, labeling, and palletizing them. The Material Handler will also load and unload materials from common carriers, verify shipping/receiving information, record inventories, and potentially dispense contract work. Other activities may be requested as needed.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to read, write, and perform basic calculations in English, and must have enough basic education to understand and follow standard practices and instructions.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work alone without constant supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Moves material to and from various locations using various equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, or Forklifts.
