About The Position

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation, a family-owned business for over 75 years, powers progress in health, security, and quality of life. The Receiving Material Handler will receive and inspect incoming material, inspect all shipments to ensure they are complete from the vendor, and store, pick, and prepare material for shipments to Mexico.

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED required
• Minimum 5 years of experience of similar warehouse environments, preferably within a twin plant maquiladora framework
• Able to lift up to 50lbs
• Knowledge and experience with import and export functions
• Flexible work schedule.
• Able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Forklift certification preferred, able to use a standup forklift a plus

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive all inbound shipments from freight carriers.
• Note and report any shipment damages or discrepancies
• Open and inspect all inbound cartons and pallets and verify contents vs packing lists.
• Note and report any discrepancies to the Receiving Team Leader
• Store all Inbound material
• Pick material for orders bound to Mexico
• Loading and unloading trucks following safety rules
• Participate in 5s activities, maintaining work area safe, clean and in order.
• Comply with all corporate and site-specific safety regulations
