About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for safe and efficient handling of materials throughout the plant. Duties include shipping and receiving, packaging finished products at the end of extrusion lines, loading raw plastic at the beginning of extrusion lines, and moving materials between departments to support continuous production. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid forklift certification and experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with plastic recycling or manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming raw materials and verify them against purchase orders.
• Prepare and stage outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
• Load raw plastic feedstock at the start of extrusion lines.
• Package finished products at the end of extrusion lines.
• Move materials between production areas using forklifts or other equipment.
• Maintain organized storage areas and ensure proper inventory rotation.
• Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory records accurately.
• Follow safety protocols, including PPE and forklift operation standards.
• Inspect forklifts and material handling equipment daily and promptly report issues.
