Material Handler - 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
About The Position
This is a contract position for a Material Handler on the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM) at a Medical Device Company. The role involves ensuring that kitted materials are brought to machines for upcoming jobs, verifying part numbers and quantities against packing lists, and delivering the correct lots to each machine. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to GMP procedures, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. The Material Handler will work independently and as part of a team, supporting team goals and objectives, and making effective decisions relative to production requirements. The role also includes performing area safety inspections, responding to hazards, and completing regulatory training.
Requirements
- Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills required
- Ability to safely operate pallet jack (Electric Pallet Jack is a plus)
- Must be able to pay continuous attention to detailed operations
- High School Diploma / GED or 4 months of material handler experience

Responsibilities
- Bringing kitted material to machines for the next job
- Verifying part numbers and quantities against packing list
- Delivering material to the machine area as requested
- Delivering correct lot to each machine
- Putting extra attention to job numbers
- Performing area safety inspections to identify safety hazards and report findings
- Carrying out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, ISO, and OSHA
- Complying with all company and site policies and procedures
- Assuming responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of environmental problems
- Following all applicable aspects of the site Environmental Management System
- Completing all regulatory training as assigned (GPM, s, ISO14001, OSHA, etc.)
- Looking for ways to simplify or improve services, systems, and processes
