About The Position

This is a contract position for a Material Handler on the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) at a Medical Device Company. The role involves bringing kitted material to machines, verifying part numbers and quantities, delivering materials to the machine area, and ensuring the correct lot is delivered to each machine. The position requires attention to job numbers, availability for overtime, and the ability to assist in other areas and responsibilities as needed. The Material Handler will work independently with general supervision on routine tasks and is knowledgeable of receiving and/or distribution functions. They will effectively work in a team setting, support team goals, and make effective decisions relative to production requirements. The role also involves following GMP procedures, performing safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with all company, site, state, and federal regulations including FDA, ISO, and OSHA. Environmental responsibilities include understanding the environmental effects of work performed and complying with the site's Environmental Management System. Regulatory training such as GPMs, ISO14001, and OSHA must be completed. The position also involves looking for ways to simplify or improve services, systems, and processes.

Requirements

  • Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills required
  • Ability to safely operate pallet jack
  • Must be able to pay continuous attention to detailed operations
  • High School Diploma / GED or 4 months of material handler experience
  • Must be available to work overtime as required

Responsibilities

  • Bringing kitted material to machines for the next job

  • Performing area safety inspections to identify safety hazards and report findings
  • Carrying out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines including FDA, ISO, and OSHA
  • Complying with all company and site policies and procedures
  • Assuming responsibility for the environmental effects of work performed and for the identification and recording of environmental problems
  • Following all applicable aspects of the site Environmental Management System
  • Completing all regulatory training as assigned (GPM, s, ISO14001, OSHA, etc.)
  • Looking for ways to simplify or improve services, systems, and processes
