About The Position

The Material Handler performs operations necessary for packing and transporting products using raw materials and finished components. The role palletizes products and uses a forklift to pull and prepare products for transport to customers. The employee monitors processes and products, follows work instructions and safety practices, and supports teamwork and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Forklift certified or capable of completing the required certification during training.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and production factors related to job tasks.
• Satisfactory demonstration of skills on jobs for which the employee is listed as trained on the Job Skills Matrix.
• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Use raw materials and finished components to perform product packing and transport operations.
• Palletize product.
• Use a forklift to pull and ready product for transport to customers.
• Monitor processes and products and notify the supervisor when unusual conditions occur.
• Contribute to teamwork and continuous improvement activities, including cross-functional teams.
• Follow safe practices in all operations.
• Keep the work area clean.
• Follow the control plan and work instructions as required.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety rules.
