Quartz Distribution - Material Handler (Nights)
About The Position
Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries and the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States, is seeking an intermediate level Material Handler to join their TEAM. This role involves stocking, checking, wrapping, and loading/unloading materials. The primary objective is to operate various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to the packing station or shipping area. The position requires operating forklift and/or crane equipment, entering orders into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), verifying stock availability, auditing orders for accuracy, and monitoring equipment or processes. The role also includes maintaining a safe and organized working environment, operating wireless devices and automated equipment, conducting daily cycle counts, and performing receiving duties. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
- 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience.
- Minimum of 6 months previous stand-up forklift or order picker equipment experience.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
- Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
Nice To Haves
- No experience required for pallet jack.
Responsibilities
- Operates various powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and conveys orders to packing station or shipping area.
- Operates forklift and/or crane equipment.
- Keys orders into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy.
- Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping area.
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Follows standard operating procedures.
- Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlines in the Safety Accountability Policy and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to management.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
- Operates wireless devices (tablet, scanners) and automated equipment.
- Conducts daily cycle counts.
- Performs receiving duties such as receive and unload inbound material.
- Performs other related duties as required.
