About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for performing operations necessary for product packing and transport using raw materials and finished components. This includes palletizing products and operating a forklift to prepare products for customer transport. The role also involves monitoring processes and products, notifying supervisors of unusual conditions, contributing to teamwork and continuous improvement activities, following safe practices, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to all company policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety rules.

Requirements

• Forklift certified or capable of completing required certification during training
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of quality, safety and production factors related to job tasks.
• Satisfactory demonstration of skills on jobs employee is listed as trained on the Job Skills Matrix
• High school or equivalent education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Using raw materials and finished components perform operations necessary for product packing and transport.
• Palletizes product.
• Uses a forklift to pull and ready product for transporting to customer.
• Monitor process and product: notify supervisor when unusual conditions occur.
• Contribute to teamwork and continuous improvement activities, such as cross-functional teams, for department and organization.
• Follow safe practices in all operations.
• Keep work area clean.
• Follow control plan and work instructions, as required.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, work instructions, and safety rules.
