The Material Handler coordinates the setup of materials for each production run. This involves assessing job priorities, creating inventory picks, and using RF scanners to pull required materials from shelves, identifying different lots as indicated on the pick. The role also requires updating the status of jobs on the schedule board, identifying and returning materials to the shelf using an RF scanner after job completion, and consuming raw materials and outputting completed jobs using Business Central software. Additionally, the Material Handler is responsible for organizing materials to maintain a clean plant, picking up loose skids, moving materials off presses when necessary, and assisting other departments such as shipping, receiving, and final inspection. Maintaining accurate inventory and conducting monthly inventories with Shipping and Receiving are also key responsibilities, aiming to minimize downtime between jobs by ensuring product readiness.
