About The Position

In the Americas region, HI-LEX has grown steadily in the region, and now has ten (10) manufacturing facilities across the the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. In the U.S., HI-LEX operates under three divisions: HI-LEX America in Battle Creek, Michigan; HI-LEX Controls in Hudson, Litchfield, and Hazel Park, Michigan; and Daedong HI-LEX of America in Cusseta, Alabama. The company’s automotive center is in Rochester Hills, Michigan which consists of Finance, Sales, Engineering, Testing, Program Management, Human Resources, Purchasing and IT. This position stages daily shipments to support customer requirements. The role is responsible for putting finished goods in their appropriate areas and maintaining FIFO. Staging material to assembly lines, and support machines, as well as putting finished product away all while maintaining FIFO.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Must be able to complete the Hi-Lex given forklift test.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
  • Familiar with factory environment, moving equipment, parts movement.
  • Familiar with safety in a factory environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a factory environment.
  • Clothing and shoes must comply with current MIOSHA regulations and current dress code policy.
  • Steel toed shoes required.

Responsibilities

  • Stage shipments daily to current customer requirements.
  • Required to maintain FIFO with all material internal and external (Finished Goods Shipped Out)
  • Responsible for stacking, staging, drying and retrieving proper dunnage needed for MFG.
  • Provide support to maintenance, 5S, engineering, sorts and other tasks needed with a forklift.
