About The Position

The Receiver & Material Handler is responsible for engaging in receiving, inspection, non-inventory items & inventory control activities including handling, disposition, cycle counting, and transactions of inbound and raw material, purchased component inventory, and outsourced materials.

Requirements

  • Forklift certification, required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to learn and adapt to various operating systems and software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to probe and identify root causes of issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and understand connections
  • Ability to work independently, as well as to collaborate in a team environment; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to organize workload and determine priority of tasks to be completed; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
  • Reviews deliveries for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
  • Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
  • Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
  • Maintains integrity of inventory movement by utilizing E1 system to complete transactions.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and reporting any necessary repairs.
  • Operates forklifts and other machinery to move items on the production floor and on/off trucks.
  • Assist in weekly/monthly/yearly cycle counts.
  • Complete all receiving functions of product, raw material, and pallets.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
  • Other duties to assist Supply Chain department functions
