Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Communication Skills (Verbal, Non-Verbal, Written)
  • Forklift experience
  • Comfortable enough with computers to enter information and look up information
  • Must be able to provide forms of ID as required by the I-9 form for evidence of eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Forklift Certification (after hire)

Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload materials from trailers using LP or electric powered forklifts, manual/electric pallet jacks, wheeled racking, or other manual hand trucks.
  • Safely move and stack materials using LP or electric powered forklifts, manual/electric pallet jacks, wheeled racking, or other manual hand trucks to designated locations in warehouse.
  • Determine that the part or item matches what the customer has ordered by comparing part/item numbers, shapes, size, or colors.
  • Lift and maneuver parts or items on a rack or pallet in multiple directions, frequently.
  • Ascend or descend onto an industrial powered forklift’s seat, frequently.
  • Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, to load, unload, transport, or stack material.
  • Turn at the waist, while seated, to look in any direction of the forklift movement constantly.
  • Remain stationary constantly.
  • Walk frequently.
  • Stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles or auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning, recharging batteries, fueling, or replacing liquefied-gas tank, daily.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects, daily.
  • Enter, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
  • Keep and maintain work area in a clean, safe environment.
  • Training and teaching others.
