About The Position

The Material Handler monitors and records incoming and outgoing shipments and receives and processes incoming shipments (stocking inventory as it is received). The position also prepares shipping materials and processes all outgoing items. Also, this position is responsible for the decontamination of all equipment clinically used returned to the Mahwah Depot.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
2-5 years of experience in a shipping and/or receiving role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Proficiency in using vendor supplied shipping software such as UPS World Ship, FedEx.
Able to complete courier Bill of Ladings.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
Proficiency to work with hand tools for the disassembly of large medical equipment to meet shipping configurations and needs.
Must also have working ability with small power tools, such as electric/cordless drill and rivet guns to complete the repairs on crating equipment.

SAPS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Receive and process incoming shipments.
Package outgoing shipments and parcels, completing all required paperwork including Hazardous Materials documentation.
Performs surface decontamination of all clinically used equipment returned to the Mahwah Depot.
Restock inventory as shipments are received.
Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as needed.
Maintain a log and SAP system of all incoming and outgoing packages.
Maintain the loading dock area in a neat and orderly fashion and handle purchasing of all necessary labels, materials and supplies that need reordering.
Respond to Sales Representative inquiries regarding transit times, physical condition of items, and shipping configuration.
Pick and post parts for all service orders.
