About The Position

This position provides shipping, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and data entry services for finished goods, inventory, and equipment at the assigned facility(s). The role involves picking, packing, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, and correctly processing items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements. It also includes receiving materials, verifying their quality, type, and amount, and ensuring appropriate documentation is present. Basic computer knowledge is preferred for processing shipping orders, and the role requires safe operation of distribution equipment. The Material Handler must follow required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) practices and respond to customer service inquiries. Transactions are performed using DELL Tablets.

Requirements

• Basic computer knowledge preferred for processing shipping orders.
• Ability to understand, interpret, calculate and analyze team metrics.
• Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice.
• Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules.
• Must be ready to start work on-time daily and maintain strong attendance performance.

• Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and correctly process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
• Receive materials and/or finished goods on a daily basis.
• Verify the quality, type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
• Safely operate distribution equipment, as required.
• Follow the required Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and good practices by completing training.
• Respond to customer service and other external department inquiries regarding order requirements and/or fulfillment issues.
• Operate DELL Tablets for transactions.
