About The Position

The Material Handler supports warehouse operations by moving materials and inventory throughout the facility and helping provide supply chain solutions to customers. The role may include packing, scanning, kitting, counting products, verifying orders, and labeling products. Material Handlers use material-handling equipment and handheld scanners, follow the 7S program, maintain a clean work area, and work safely. The schedule is either Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or Monday and Tuesday plus Friday and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Perform basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds.
• Carry objects 3–5 feet weighing up to 75 pounds routinely.
• Stand for more than four hours at a time.
• Walk continuously for more than 10,000 steps (4–5 miles) per day.
• Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull objects of various shapes and sizes in a team lift.
• Handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• A positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives.
