About The Position

EPTAM Precision Molding is looking for a Material Handler to join their team in Phillipsburg, NJ. This role is crucial in supporting the creation of medical devices. The facility includes ISO Class 7 and 8 cleanrooms, and the company utilizes advanced Toyo and Arburg molding machines, holding ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications. Requirements

  • High School diploma, equivalent or trade school graduate and/or minimum experience.
  • 6 months experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic Materials and Injection Molding Knowledge
  • Ability to use scales, calculator, pallet jack, fork lift, box truck, hand tools, and ladder
  • Ability to work in IQMS
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customers.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment.
  • Basic ability to read prints and use simple measuring equipment.
  • Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supplies specified raw material(s) and packaging supplies for scheduled production runs.
  • Accurately documents changes in material inventories and finished goods according to company policy/procedure.
  • Maintains knowledge of proper locations, mixing basics and specifications of raw material(s) and supplies needed for production runs.
  • Cleans and stores auxiliary equipment according to manufacturer’s directions/company policy.
  • Monitors work orders to assure correct materials are being used during production runs.
  • Maintains appropriate levels of raw material to the production floor during the shift.
  • Maintains and operates forklifts according to company policy.
  • Packages and labels product in accordance with the standard operating procedure.
  • Supplies correct packaging needed per work order requirements.
  • Identifies and labels finished production.
  • Scans finished production into inventory.
  • Shrink wraps and moves finished production to the correct locations.
  • Performs line clearances.
  • Communicates any material problems to the Process Technician/Shift Supervisor/Group Lead.
  • Reads and interprets manufacturing process instructions, visual aids/drawings (e.g. microscope and magnifying lenses).
  • Keeps areas neat and clean, follows restriction/rules of fire protection, safety and environmental issues.
  • Follows specifications and procedures for manufacturing, i.e., process sheets, work orders and any other special instructions.
  • Proper handling of all material, parts and equipment to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
