About The Position

Siemens is seeking a Material Handler for its Electrification & Automation Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina. The role is responsible for the efficient movement of materials, including receiving, shipping, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory management. The position works the third shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The Material Handler operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment, receives and records production materials in SAP, verifies and picks materials using RF scanners, and prepares outgoing shipments. The role also requires safe work practices, attention to detail, adherence to established processes, and a willingness to identify improvement opportunities and perform additional assigned duties.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in material management or warehousing.
At least 2 years of experience driving a forklift, order picker, and stand-up equipment.
Ability to lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience with SAP.
Experience with RF scanner devices.
Proficiency with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

Safely operate stand-up reach trucks, order pickers, and sit-down forklifts in high-traffic areas and narrow aisles.
Unload and receive production materials and record them in SAP.
Count and verify incoming materials in the storeroom.
Pick materials for internal and external customers using RF scanners accurately.
Pack and ship materials without damage, load outgoing shipments, and provide drivers with proper documentation.
Use small hand tools, including battery-, electrical-, and air-powered tools.
Follow safety rules and established processes and methods, and seek opportunities for improvement.
Work independently with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.
