Material Handler/ Cherry Picker Operator
About The Position
The Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading product shipments between trucks and the shipping/receiving platform; picking, putting away, and counting product in case or pallet quantities; and using an RF scanner and/or pick label to verify item, quantity, and location when picking or receiving. The role also operates multiple pieces of motorized equipment safely and properly. The position is based at Wasserstrom’s Jacksonville Distribution Center in Jacksonville, Florida. The first shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturdays required when needed. The posting notes new market pay rates and access to Payactiv, which allows employees to be paid the day after working.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of previous forklift experience; preferred but not required.
