About The Position

The Dixon Group is hiring a Material Handler to join their skilled manufacturing team. The role involves transporting parts and components safely throughout the facility, maintaining a steady flow of materials to work centers. The Material Handler will stay in tune with demand signals and ensure each area has the supplies needed to stay on schedule. Responsibilities also include learning all aspects of shipping and receiving operations, including overhead cranes and both walk-behind and ride-on forklifts. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in supporting a team that builds quality products.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Forklift certified.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and work independently.
Reliable, team-oriented mindset with great time management.
Strong organizational skills and a sense of accountability to every task.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Operate weight and count scales.
Outsource material from factory to warehouse on a daily basis.
Rectify inventory issues.
Use proper materials for job (pallets, boxes) when packing material.
Create manifests for shipping to outside vendors.
Communicate with warehouse and factory shuttle drivers when material needs to move.
Work with the clamp department doing material related functions to keep production flowing.
Assist pre-pack department when time permits.
Assist other material handlers on the factory floor by taking out cardboard and emptying cages.
Assist with other areas of material handling as needed.
