About The Position

This position is responsible for picking up, delivering, and stocking materials throughout the campus using powered industrial vehicle (PIV) equipment or manual transportation. The role uses technology such as scanners, PCs, and tablets to ensure assembly areas receive the appropriate supplies at the proper time while maintaining inventory accuracy. The position also involves retrieving parts and sub-assemblies, preparing and staging carts, moving completed assemblies or boxed furniture, managing inventory transactions, and following health, safety, and workplace cleanliness standards. Other tasks may be assigned, and duties may change as business needs require.

Requirements

Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the duties.
Basic reading and writing skills.
Basic math knowledge.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to scan effectively to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Ability to achieve performance standards.
Maintain a PIV license as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate various forms of PIV equipment to receive, deliver, and store supplies.
Obtain work orders to determine needed parts and delivery locations.
Retrieve sub-assemblies and parts from storage locations.
Load carts with required parts.
Stage completed carts in designated locations.
Use a scanner and/or tablet to manage transactions, transfer parts, perform inventory inquiries and maintenance counts, and report outages.
Return unused parts, empty containers, and empty carts to designated storage or replenishment locations.
Move completed assemblies or boxed furniture into designated locations.
Follow health and safety standards.
Maintain a clean workplace in accordance with 5S standards.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
