About The Position

Rantec Power Systems Inc. is hiring Material Handlers to join their team in Los Osos, California. This role is crucial for maintaining materials to support manufacturing and other facility operations. The Material Handler will be responsible for managing inventory, including receiving, storing, and recording transactions in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. This involves the digital and physical movement of inventoried materials, from receiving raw materials to kitting and shipping finished goods.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer skills to maintain inventory data in an MRP system; MS Word & Excel experience.
  • Mechanical ability to operate equipment for bagging, counting and component prep processes.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain inventory and assemble kits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple critical priorities.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive Materials: Unpackage materials, verify contents, transfer to appropriate storage, and input receiving data into the MRP system.
  • Supply point-of-use storage and Kanban locations with material.
  • Ship Materials: Package materials and product, prepare shipping documents and labels, use shipping service software, and input shipping data into the MRP system.
  • Stockroom Processes: Complete and close Work Orders, relocate inventory, pull and issue kits to Work Orders, perform Cycle Counts, and ensure proper material storage.
  • Support Record-Keeping Functions: Update serial number logs, maintain part shortages and backorder records, and monitor for reorder recommendations.
  • Maintain Job Folders: Insert new/updated documents to current job folders.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, as required.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations.
  • Arrive to work on-time, and work each day, as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
