Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and write to complete required forms and verify quality products are produced.
  • Must have good vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing.
  • Ability to adhere to Berry’s Safety, Health, and Environmental Vision, Policy, and Standards.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days, or nights for 12 or more hours.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted.
  • Must have manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height.
  • Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for 12 or more hours per day or night.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, face shield, gloves, and face mask.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and maintain a forklift operator license; ability to mount and dismount forklift unassisted multiple times per shift.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Company policies.
  • Adhere to Attendance guidelines.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Responsible for operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times.
  • Performs Lift Truck Inspection check before using forklift each shift.
  • Follow all safety guidelines/policies, proper use of equipment, etc.
  • Pick orders – (pulling finished product from warehouse to fill orders).
  • Stage orders to be loaded.
  • Loading completed orders.
  • Understanding of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, customers’ special instructions.
  • Warehousing (moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space)
  • Perform cycle counts – to verify item quantities on hand.
  • Moving finished goods from production holding area to the warehouse.
  • Repackaging damaged materials as needed.
  • Efficient use of time to maximize pounds/work hours.
  • Learn how to use the many functions of dc-LINK Data Collection .
  • Maintains proper housekeeping while performing duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
