About The Position

The Material Handler transports materials and inventory, supports work centers, maintains inventory records, and prepares finished goods for shipment. The role uses power equipment to move, stage, and load materials and products while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This is a first-shift position in Napoleon, Ohio, scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., paying $17 per hour. Applicants must provide a resume showing forklift experience.

Requirements

Must provide a resume with forklift experience.
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to operate all power equipment used in the Materials department.

Responsibilities

Transport materials and inventory by loading, unloading, picking, putting away, consolidating, stacking, and staging products and materials using power equipment.
Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
Dispose of scrap items such as bracing, cardboard, trash, and strapping, and keep the work environment safe and clean.
Identify, label, and place materials and supplies in stock, record their locations, and maintain inventory records.
Confirm shipping details and special instructions, and expedite shipments that affect manufacturing schedules.
Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
Maintain records of materials received and shipped, including dates and locations.
Conduct cycle counts to verify material quantities.
Load finished goods for customer shipments using appropriate material handling equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
