As a Material Handler II at our Gurnee, IL facility, you will support stockroom and manufacturing operations by ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting production schedules, and executing warehouse transactions with a strong focus on quality and process adherence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in materials handling, warehouse, or manufacturing environments required.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to perform accurate ERP transactions using RF scanners and computer systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies and support basic problem-solving.
  • Ability to follow standardized work instructions and procedures.
  • Basic math skills, including calculations and percentages.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions, documentation, and visual aids.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills with team members and leadership.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems and RF scanning strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute the movement of materials to support manufacturing production schedules.
  • Perform physical and system transactions for material replenishment across production areas.
  • Support movement of materials to non-production areas such as shipping, parts prep, and office functions.
  • Utilize RF scanners and ERP systems to accurately complete inventory transactions.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required.
  • Maintain proper bin management and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Return unused materials from manufacturing to the stockroom using RF systems.
  • Properly dispose of scrap materials according to established procedures.
  • Pull materials for purge activities and inventory adjustments as needed.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Verify all material movements and documentation to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Follow all safety, health, and company security policies.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
