About The Position

This role is responsible for the safe and accurate loading and unloading of trucks, performing necessary computer transactions, and the transportation and storage of materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility. The Material Handler ensures that production departments have the necessary materials and that finished products are prepared for shipment according to customer requirements, while maintaining accurate inventory records and a safe, organized work environment.

Ability to pass forklift safety and obtain license
Ability to use a handheld Radio Frequency (RF) system
Solid computer skills, specifically ability to use the inventory control system

Responsibilities

Safely unload inbound trucks and/or load outbound trucks, performing accurate inventory transactions in the inventory control system.
Ensure FIFO procedures are followed and receipts are entered timely and accurately.
Ensure shipments are on time and match bill of lading paperwork, noting any discrepancies.
Support the production department by delivering necessary product and materials, and removing finished product from workstations.
Scan all components and finished goods materials to the proper location to ensure physical location matches system location.
Maintain a safe and accurate staging and storage area for raw materials and finished goods by performing proper 5S procedures.
Read, understand, and adhere to all job instructions for production processes, including hazardous waste/material handling procedures.
Operate a forklift and obtain a license.
Use a handheld Radio Frequency (RF) system.
Utilize the inventory control system.
