About The Position

This role is responsible for operating a hand truck and/or forklift to move materials, supplies, and finished goods within the facility or onto trucks. The position involves scanning and verifying serialized parts, creating and receiving purchase orders, and performing various material handling duties. The Material Handler will also be responsible for packaging orders for shipment and may assist or instruct other personnel. Adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping practices is required. Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

Operate hand truck and/or forklift truck.

Responsibilities

Scan and verify serialized parts into Global Shop.
Create and receive PO’s into Global Shop and notify proper people of shipment.
Perform various material handling duties within the facility.
Manually load finished product on skid, hand truck or forklift.
Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
Clean up and dispose of scrap, cardboard boxes etc. and place in proper containers or designated areas.
Move incoming and outgoing product as required.
Weigh and log incoming jobs to department.
Package orders for shipment.
Back up to material handler at 28 Spring Lane.
Observe company processes and make recommendations for improvement.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Maintain adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
Assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
Perform other duties as may be required.
