About The Position
As a Material Handler 2 at Lakeside Book Company, you will play a crucial role in the book manufacturing process. This position involves reading work orders, collaborating with operators to optimize the binding line, and learning to operate small equipment. You will be responsible for loading printed materials into bindery equipment and moving finished products to pallets, carts, or trays. This role emphasizes teamwork, cross-training, and opportunities for career advancement through training.
Requirements
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience required
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of your shift

- Preference will be given to candidates who agree to participate in cross-training, including achieving qualified status within the position and assuming responsibility as a backup for lateral and progressive roles, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Read work orders and collaborate with operators to make improvements in the operation of our binding line.
- Learn to operate small pieces of equipment.
- Load printed materials into our bindery equipment.
- Move finished product from the binding line and stack neatly onto pallets, carts or trays.
